Every day we get closer to leaving on our adventure. Cole and I count down each night how many days until we leave. Kenna and I discussed last night how it feels surreal - how do you tell people "we are travelling the world for 6 months"? - it sounds like the punchline of a joke.
Yesterday I had a striking thought in the grocery store that made it real for me....we leave for our big trip the same day the milk I just bought expires! - Colleen
Just a little jealous I have to say...will be thinking of your family and your adventure now everytime I look at the expiry date on the milk carton!!
ReplyDeleteAh yes--milk. That was one item I did miss while traveling oversees. Their milk tastes so different than ours. Then again, wine tastes pretty good too!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Best wishes to all your family.

Just trying to see if I do this right, will be a little hard to phone if I don't manage to work out how to post. Michelle rankin
ReplyDeleteYou figured it out...we aren't taking a phone so you will have to contact us through the blog or email - Colleen
DeleteHey Colleen,
ReplyDeleteKensi, Adam, Brady, Andy and I want to wish you and your family the most amazing vacation! What an incredible journey - such a fantastic opportunity! Good on you! Can't wait to hear all about your adventures when you return. Hope the kids like the soccer balls (such a cool idea!) ;)
Take care, Tamara.
Good luck McEwan family. I am not a traveller so I will live vicariouly through you. So stay healthly and do lots of interesting things ... that way I can really enjoy myself.

Thanks Carmen - will do. Still trying to convince Kenna to eat a fried tarantula in Cambodia...do you think it will taste like chicken? Colleen
DeleteHope you are all having fun! I can't wait until kenna is back and I'm sure adam and brady are excited to see cole. I can't wait to hear all about your amazing adventures!
